Tina Turner (born Anna Mae Bullock; November 26, 1939 – May 24, 2023) was an American-born singer, songwriter and actress, dubbed the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll". She rose to prominence in the 1960s as part of the Ike & Tina Turner duo, then launched a massively successful solo career. Her 1984 album Private Dancer sold over 20 million copies. She sold over 100 million records worldwide, won 12 Grammy Awards, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice.
